Creativity is an integral part of the art curriculum at Chinley Primary School. In each lesson we aim to provide a broad and balanced range of art activities and show progression within these experiences. We support children to study and understand the work of artists, craftspeople and designers and use a range of tools, media and processes to recreate their work. We aim to give opportunities for all children to understand and enjoy art, craft and design in many curriculum areas.
In addition we are involved in the Brighter Futures Art Project with several others schools which is developing teaching and learning in Art as well as developing children's resilience in art with a view to impacting positively across all learning.
