Good attendance is essential if pupils are to take full advantage of school and gain the appropriate skills to equip them for life.
The school aims to achieve good attendance by operating an attendance policy within which staff, pupils, parents and other agencies can work in partnership. The school will monitor attendance and ensure quick and early intervention if a problem is identified. Lateness will be actively discouraged. School will encourage good attendance and will liaise with home and other agencies when this is appropriate. Good attendance/punctuality will be seen as an achievement in its own right and recognised as such by the school. Continual reference will be made to promoting good levels of attendance – currently 94%+ (national levels) through the school newsletters and assemblies.
